    Stubborn: Zenjrou is for lack of a better word incredibly stubborn about things he's set his mind on doing, this can be rather baffling to people that don't know him well he's a rather tenacious man for better or for worse.

          Amiable: Outwardly Zenjirou comes off as rather scary or itimidating due to his squint and general...scruffy look however if talked too although shy he is generally very agreeable and will be cordial with others.

          Awkward: Pretty much the core of Zenjirou's personality there's a very pronounced awkwardness when he talks to people he constantly feels as if he's troubling someone and so does not ask for help and in conversations it can be rather hard to start one with him that won't end in him going silent as polite as he might be. Overall this causes him to lack charisma or charm for some.

         Shy: He is very nervous when talking to or meeting new people and more often than not won't start a conversation with strangers being quite introverted and is generally quiet around newer faces generally just nodding passively.

         Silly: Unbeknownst to others he is a rather...silly person when comfortable enough, he makes poor puns and writes jokes in his spare time, he often reacts to things in a very overly comical way and even comes up with odd or garish solutions to simple problems.
        
          Loyal: Tying into his stubborn personality once he has found someone he can truly trust and believe in it's rather difficult to persaude him of otherwise he is the kind of "through thick and thin" type of person that would ride with you while complaining through hell and back.

          Sympathetic: He is or at least tries, to be very understanding of people knowing what it feels like no be alone, isolated or lack support, to this end if he can he will lend an ear to anyone and although he doesn't believe in his own advice at times he will even offer that if it might aid someone.

        Grumpy: Usually only applies to mornings but Zenjirou can be rather easily peaved and despite being stubborn he can be quite childish at times though he doesn't hold grudges very often.

[Beginning]

Zenjirou was born the first and only son to the head of the noble Watanabe household.

Originating as a simple rice farm on the golden plains the Watanabe grew into a powerful household which not only produced high-quality and plentiful amounts of rice from their ever expanding farms but also raising many future soldiers and warriors that would go on to serve the military and nobility of Soliel often competing and having a healthy rivalry with the Takeda household in both these fields.

Zenjirou was born the only son to the head household and therefore was in succession to take over his father's place as head and leader of the family. Since young Zenjirou went through rigorous training for war and combat as it was a long-standing tradition that the head must participate and bring glory to the family through serving in the army and has guardsmen and protectors for nobility.

It was around this time that Zenjirou met and befriended Ryuunosuke Takeda, despite the rivalry between their families or perhaps because of it, the two became close friends rather quickly. Owing to this relationship and despite how he personally felt about the Takeda, Zenjirou's father began pushing and attempting to bridge the two families offering an arranged marriage between Zenjirou and the Takeda's eldest daughter as a compromise, much to the young boy's fear of said eldest daughter.

[Interlude]

Zenjirou continued to train day in and day out with his father and although he was considered quite intellectually capable his physical abilities were less than desirable to not only his father but to other members of the main family. He was viewed as a weak successor lacking his fathers strength and charismatic aura despite his best efforts to live up to such, if he were to enter war his family were assured he would die a pathetic death dishonoring all of them.

"You're......simply mediocre..be useful and tend to the fields"

Were the words Zenjirou's father told to him coldly on his 13th birthday. In order to please the bickering members of the family and cease an internal power struggling, Zenjirou was replaced as future head by a distant cousin who was directly adopted into the main family and was prepared to be groom'd to be the family's newest head her skills with the sword far surpassing Zenjirou's.


Despite this he did not give up seeking for someone to help him continue his tutelage of the blade, he found no one willing to in his village.

"You're second-rate."

Ignoring these words or the pleas of his retainers he continued to train, by himself, sunset to sunrise, he would sleep for no more than 4 hours, wake up leave the house and train until his hands were covered in blisters, nearly non-stop for the remainder of his life stubbornly refusing to accept his judgement as simply being meager.

Whether he accepted it or not it was clear that his cousin would be the heiress and he would not despite this he continued his training as father announced officially his cousin's or well, sister'ss status as future heir, enraging the Takeda family and causing many in the Watanabe house to demand immediate purchase of the rice fields the Takeda were threatening to buy them out of.

Zenjirou's father saw this as foolish assured he could simply negotiate to have Ryuunosuke marry Zenjirou's cousin seeing the combining of the two noble houses as being for the better of Soliel and an eventuality.

However Zenjirou's father would never see this plan come to fruition the future heiress killed the man, stole his sword and defected to Noctil for reasons unknown, with Zenjirou's father dead and their family now under interrogation as traitors, the family was left without a head or anyone that wanted to be it anyway. With little choice Zenjirou took up the position that was initially denied of him, Zenjirou realized the severity of the situation, not only could their rice fields be confiscated along with their assets and home but the villagers seeing his cousin's betrayal as shaming not only the family and village itself.

Eventually it was made clear his cousin was the only traitor in the family to the kingdom, and she was quickly written off as no longer being apart of it. Despite this, unrest in his village did not cease and Zenjirou saw only one way to stop it, seeing as he was already despised as a despot for seemingly abandoning his place as heir and allowing this tragedy to unfold Zenjirou sought to scapegoat himself off, he joined the army and the war as all heads should, his participation would appease those as an act of penance and his death would most likely be seen as deserved.

In the end despite being rejected by them he eventually did what he thought would benefit and bring prosperity to his family, as a leader should, and in a way he understood his father's own choices. Either way into the dragon's maw is where his compass now pointed though it seemed he would not walk into it alone.

"To live is to fight as they say. I've no intention of dying but.....should a dogs death await me I'll just have to face it with sword drawn."

-He is terrified of Kitsune after Ryunosuke and Brielle told him stories of how they eat human children and although he will be cordial around them, it is quite obvious he is afraid of any that speak to him, the moment they transform he will flee at the speed of fast.

-He is also afraid of taguel but only when they transform, it's mostly the eyes.

-He tends to look sleep/sick a majority of the time and although he has good hygiene he doesn't brush his hair as thoroughly or take care of his skin very well.

-He enjoys drinking but gets drunk after 2 or 3 shots.

-If he stays in one spot for too long butterflies will gather around him, he's not sure why.

-Has the worst sleep schedule in Soliel.

-He dislikes noctil warriors for their blood thirsty attitude and overall finds them to brutish and power-hungry. Despite this he holds no grudges during combat and dislikes needless killing, he would not kill a defenseless citizen of noctil.

-He LOOOOOOVES baked goods and sweets, he'll pretty much do anything you ask of him for a loaf of fresh bread or candy.

-He has an affinity for fish and quite childishly thinks he's like a swordfish. He is not.

-He tends to look quite scary, often gets confused for being some sort of ghost or thug in the right light.

-He doesn't really mind nicknames and in facts like's giving people intricate nicknames.
